I debated whether or not to reply, as I try to only engage with those who are attempting to converse in good faith. And some of the comments I have seen led me to believe that might not be the case.

But seeing as I do not know you, or your intentions, and given the apparent attempt at a kind exchange and fair questioning... I have decided to give you the benefit of the doubt.

First, a very short bit about me since you asked... my name is Felbz. I am the moderator for Matt's Free Thinker Discord server and the Pocha community here on soj.ooO. I was also one of the earlier users giving feedback on the site as it was being developed, and I’ve always believed strongly in the broader mission behind the platform. 2025 was a big year for me personally -- got engaged, married, honeymooned, moved in together, and are now expecting our first child literally any day now. (Due date is Thursday.) Life's been great to us, and we feel so blessed with all the love and support we have. Since we have not been acquainted... how did you happen to come by the site? Care to share anything about yourself? 🙂

Regarding the rest of your post, you mention this answer about who I am as important and timely. I'm personally not sure if I agree. Have you read the White Paper that's been posted? Which part of that, or this post, specifically concerns you? You congratulated me on being the poster for the Interim DAO Council, but I personally don't feel like congratulations are in order. I'm donating some of my virtually negative free time to try and assist wherever I can for the betterment of this mission. I'm not gaining anything from it, nor do I particularly care to. In fact, my less active state on the site would result in less token share, by design.

And no, I'm not some official "Spokesperson." I just offered to post the announcement, as it made sense to me given my relatively neutral standing on the website. Honestly, a lot of what I've seen on here has been... disappointing at best, unfortunately. I am a free speech absolutist, and my mod-style reflects this, but unfortunately that comes with the territory of toxicity, trolling, and antagonism. This is part of why you haven't seen much of me on the front end, engaging in these conversations.

At the end of the day, I'm not sure what "informed" decision you are trying to make, or what I have to do with it at all. Perhaps I'm not fully understanding, and if you'd like to clarify, I'd be happy to hear you out. But steps are being made to try and get this website to be run by the community, as opposed to a dictator pulling the strings behind the scenes. If you have genuine thoughts or concerns in regards to the ongoing conversation with the white paper / information presented in this post, I will invite and encourage you to share (or join the Telegram group posted by dangun). But focusing on the who, instead of the what, frankly feels counter-productive and a bit unnecessarily antagonistic. If that is not your intention, then I apologize. I am simply communicating how it's coming across.

Lastly, I'd like to challenge you to try and be a more positive and productive force during this time of change, if you truly want to see it successful. And if you're that passionate about things, Phase 3 of the roadmap is all about the inaugural Governance Council elections.
