Side scrolling ended up looking really bad. We're going to keep working at it, but if not done right, it's a really *terribad* experience. As of now, in order to prevent skinny comments, we deployed logical.js which essentially enforces the use of permalink routes on mobile (or reallllllly deep nested threads on desktop).
