I think this is a good point and idea. Going forward to make the site self sufficient some form of "Badges or Awards" that people can buy or share with other users is a simple fun way to generate a bit of server costs. The one thing I would bring up in this circumstance is we want everyone to have a voice. There is a slippery slope where we go down the path of "Oh this user has 20,000 posts and internet points" so their voice is valued more than someone who has a fraction of those interactions. This can create "Brigading" or ganging up on users, niche sects and hostile groups that fight against each other. "I have X amount of user points and rewards so that means I'm better than you!!!" This is not a healthy thing for anyone to be subjected too on either side.

Agree I thought about how someone could fake their numbers by posting nothing but copy paste material or a botted account would sky rocket to the most active without being an actual user behind it, so the question is, do the award system give users seniority over other users or is it just a fun way for users to see accomplishments

There's another angle to this. People can be evil. "Hooray I just reached 1000 posts!" Then some mod starts deleting their posts just to be a shithead and put them back below 1000. People are also naturally competitive and having a reward for # of posts may encourage people to spam like you said. But I do like your idea of rewards or prizes. I could buy or earn points that I could use to reward other users or posts as sort of a "Super bump". And people would feel good receiving and giving them. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ I have a related suggestion feature request I'll be posting in a few days but this is basically it: On the current side bar of the page we have: Pinned pochas, my Pochas, top pochas, trending pochas, and top posts. My pochas is redundant it's just the last 5 pochas you've joined. Which is kind of silly cause I just joined the pocha so it's already on my mind and it will now be in my feed. Trending Pochas and Top Pochas are also redundant, as these lists are usually the same set of pochas every day. (Top pochas should be excluded from the Trending pochas tab, as they are already the top pochas and don't need more promotion) Replace these side bars and add some new ones: “Pocha of the day” “New pochas” “New posts” "Featured Pocha of the week" Pocha of the day would just be a randomly generated pocha that excludes the top pochas. New pochas are just the 5 newest pochas. New posts are the 5 newest posts. (this gives new posts that get drowned out in the feed more chances to be seen) **Featured Pocha of the week(or day)** This one is where it relates to your idea. I think we could have a feature pocha box. Moderators of pochas would earn points over time, based on how much activity happens in their pochas. They can use these points and than can spend them to promote a pocha(one that they do not moderate, no self promotion) But it's a way for Good moderators who have popular pochas to help grow smaller and newer ones they deem to have potential. This earning of points system could also be applied to users to earn points to send rewards to each other. But I think this needs to be a separate reward system from the DAO tokens for voting.

I think it's a subtle way to help new posts in less popular pochas gain eyeballs. Since if someone comes in and posts, while a flame war is clogging up the main feed, or someone is spamming. It keeps it's place as a "New post" in the sidebar giving is equal chance to garner some eyeballs.

Being able to see new posts would be nice. If I scroll the site, I see the same posts all the time.

Love it. Yes I agree the poocha option tabs are redundant and really need improvement, cos finding different poochas is a challenge or a gamble (usually I find them just by guessing a poocha that might exist and be relevant to the post I'm thinking of posting) so if Im posting a paranormal type entry, I'll look up paranormal or ghosts or weird or strange until ihappen to find something relevant (this just happened the other day that's why I mention it) so there needs to be a way to promote more understated poochas or topics for poochas that are out there that get no traction cos no one knows they exist. So a section that promotes poochas with less traction but nevertheless maybe unique subjects or topics that better would be used for posts that end up getting posted elsewhere. So like a 'up and coming poochas' or poochas that show promise based off community involvement in the posts on the poocha or the recent posting or follows on the poocha

Or maybe even a recommendation tab or poochas that are moderated by people you follow or interact with, or poochas they follow that you don't belong to but they follow and sojooo believes you may find interesting due to your common interests. Or just poochas followed by people you follow that have little to no traction, just to give them a chance of discovery. But the idea of a super bump like a gifted bump you could choose to give to someone you follow and want to promote, something like that could be used to promote their poocha or a poocha you believe should get more traction, and it would put it on a 'recently boosted poochas by community' and they can remain on a list of top 10 or 20 poochas until they get bumped off the list by more recent boosted poochas, thus giving them exposure for an indefinite amount of time depending on the amount of other poochas given a boost by the community

I also believe you should be able to post posts in more than one poocha at a time, like if you think the post relates to multiple poocha topics, it should be able to posted in both communities (maybe 3 at most) at a time. And the amount of bumps it gets are combined among all the places it's posted, but posting it in multiple poochas doesn't effect it's visibility, like it still would only show up on the timeline once, only when you click on those individual poochas would you see it posted in all of the locations, but it's more of a way to organize thepost by relevant topics but it's not anything other than a way to give it a few locations all in which are relevant to the subject matter so if let's say down the line someone wants to search previous poochas for subjects or topics because that poocha has topics they enjoy, they can find the post in the poocha, despite it maybe also being in another poocha cos I know I've gone to post things and felt like "this could belong in this poocha but also could make sense in this poocha" and then I'm tempted to repost it in a different poocha but I'm kinda anal about my pages aesthetic appearance And wouldn't want to have a duplicated post on my page, only difference being the poocha, despite it seemingly being relevant to both communities. As I said individually when viewing the post in each poocha, you'd see different amounts of bumps but on the home feed you'd get a combined number of bumps among the different places it was posted. And you wouldn't see the post twice in the home feed, just once and where the poocha is listed for where it was posted it would say one of the poochas +1 or +2 (I don't believe this option should be for any more than 3 poochas to post it in, honestly I debate if 2 total poochas should be the cut off for how many places it can be posted in)

Basically like treating poochas like hashtags, in which it gives it more visibility depending on followers of the particular poocha, but also opening a different group of people to the post by allowing it to be also connected to another relevant topic, that may also be related, so it's organizing posts based off the subject matter and the topics mentioned in the posts (which sometimes can be more than one topic or subject)

I have something in brainstorming doc for this, check the telegram but basically its this: **Cross-Posting:** Allow a user to cross-post their own original post (OP) 1-3 times to other pochas. A cross-posted post cannot be cross-posted again. This feature would help users move their content without deleting the original post. Since we cannot edit or delete posts, an accidental post cannot be replicated if it has markup or images links etc data contained in the post. So users have to re-start and re-create an entire post and place it in the correct pocha. No Bueno. However at the current state with so few users, and /all being the default feed I think this is more of a future thing than a top priority imo.

Yes please pass on the suggestion, I find apps that award achievements that are publicly shown on your profile like a boy scout jacket, is fun and a motivation for users to obtain more and more badges and verification of their legitimacy to the site or game or whatever it may be.

Could also have rewards/trophies for posts that have gotten 'x' amount of bumps, or most responses, or frequently responds to other peoples posts, those people can be recognized for their contribution which is equally if not more important in keeping people interested in posting in the first place. You can come up with many different rewards similar to Playstation rewards thst you unlock when playing games, certain criteria thst needs to be met but you receive a recognition for your trouble. Just an idea, I believe would be seriously well received

I do think a reward system is a good idea, we just need to brainstorm a bit on how to implement it, and fully flesh out the pros and cons before submitting it for a vote. We'd also need to get all the technical details down right before proposing it for a developer to build out.
