Yes, pretty much.... in percentage term on heavily engaged posts, it's likey a fraction of total, but not so much so on less engaging but informative posts. A little bit of balance, that's also the reason I thought of the 5 per post, it ain't a lot, but it's a little balancing measure for the post itself.

Yeah, I agree. I like the bit of balancing measure. I'd probably even be in favor of something higher than 5... but then it'd just incentivize people to spam post at a certain point.

Well maybe thats why a "Post" should have 0 pts value, and only generates the user points if people comment and bump it.

Yeah I feel you there, would it be possible to limit the downsides of potential gaming of it? Maybe by a limit of say only the first 5/10 post per day / X days or something like that?
