My wife was pre-diabetic and is very much against taking pharmaceuticals, especially when the body can heal itself naturally. She did a mountain of research on how to do it, and I figured I'd give it a go with her. I don't have any lab results to back up my end, but I'm assuming I was in a similar state. Basically, pre-diabetic means you're becoming insulin hormone resistant, and so your pancreas pumps out more insulin in order to get glucose into your cells. Keto on the other hand is your liver producing Ketones to transfer energy into cells when there is a lack of glucose, burning fat instead. This gives your cells a chance to reset their insulin resistance, and you're burning fat for energy. It's a process, doesn't happen over night I mean, and you have to make sure you're drinking a lot of water and maintaining your electrolytes. It's been about three weeks now for me and I'm finally starting to burn fat for energy. Did a long snowshoe hike yesterday, and by the time I was getting to the end my mind was super sharp and I felt like running which isn't something I've felt like doing in a loooooong time. I've also had to take a couple months off from weight lifting because my joints and elbows were aching so much and weren't getting better. Inflammation is already way down, and aching joints are no longer an issue. Still haven't gone back to the weights yet because my energy levels are just starting to come back.

I read that apple cider vinegar helps as well, play around whether you want to take a shot every morning or both morning and night. Must rinse mouth right away of course, to minimize teeth enamel damage. Poly phenol might be helpful as well… you could get that from high quality olive oil. I’ve seen specialty stores that tells you how much poly phenol is in each batch of specific olive oil. Diet and exercise can reverse type 2 diabetes. It’s required in order to change the chemistry function of your body at a cellular level. It is hard work. But not impossible. You got this!

I've been doing the apple cider vinegar for dissolving kidney stones. I used to have them really bad because my body wasn't absorbing calcium properly, but D3 and K2 corrected that and I haven't had them in almost eight years. Still, preventative measures never hurt. Also, changed from olive oil to pure avocado oil ( which was kinda hard to find 100% pure ). It has a higher flash point ( meaning it takes a higher temp to start smoking/burning ) which comes in nice when cooking steak.

I do use avocado oil for cooking, along with butter. For olive oil… I meant for eating it cold or taking as a shot. It’s gross.. I couldn’t do it (take a shot of it) lol
