Eventually it dawned on me, as much as I like soba noodles, I would need something far easier to 'cook'/prepare (ideally, without any fire), to save time/energy, and something far more portable, and easier to control both the portion, and composition of calorie/nutrition, depending on the situation, with no dental problems (nothing to laugh at, in prepper/war scenario) Mayo can be customized on the fly, dry egg yolk powder, vinegar powder, butter powder, honey powder, rice flour, all shelf-stable, very calorie dense, can be mixed optimally depending on the situation/needs (stationary overwatch, or 10 to 20 miles forced march with full gear, in cold/windy weather). It covers all relevant nutritional needs, carb, fat, protein, Vitamin B12. It sure beats MRE, for both health, and military/logistics effectiveness. I will be experimenting different composition for my soldiers after the implosion.
