This doesn't answer the questions and I am not a Christian. Countering religion won't help you ans these two simple questions - 1\. What makes you believe your morality is objective? 2\. How do you define evil?

For the most part it is subjective. More like I know it when I see it. You can somewhat follow the *don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you*. Maybe the hat trick is to realize religious people don't question it while it is very much a rational concept worth thinking about.

So we have gone a full circle to agreeing that morality outside religion is subjective. This is the very issue - subjective morality is as good as no morality. So such people have no grounds to speak against or, even, for religion.

If people think they have something that they don't have it is still very different from people thinking they don't have something. For example, if people think they live in a democracy everyone has to pretend it is so. When they discover it isn't so they get angry. Going from pretend democracy to real democracy is a shorter road than from a dictatorship. It might be possible some day but today you cant successfully pretend bombing woman and children is a moral act.
