I admire Korea’s resilience. But let’s be honest your country’s prosperity is built on foreign investment and protection. Without the US, North Korea would have annexed you decades ago. It’s not shameful to admit vulnerability, it’s realistic. I understand national pride, but it shouldn’t blind you to reality. You import 80% of your food and live next to nuclear-armed enemies. Why not acknowledge these facts and work on strengthening your alliances? True power comes from recognizing your weaknesses, not denying them.

''But let’s be honest your country’s prosperity is built on foreign investment and protection.'' No, it was based on the competence of ROK government and people, based on true fascism. If what you say is exclusively true, then how do you explain Vietnam? How do you explain ROC/KMT losing to CCP in the Chinese Civil War? U.S. could not stop communism in Vietnam and China, despite her military strength and economic might. U.S. did stop communism in Korea, but she didn't and couldn't have done it alone, only with support from the fascists in ROK. ''Without the US, North Korea would have annexed you decades ago.'' Without the fascists, U.S. would have lost to the communists in Korea. It was a team effort; it wasn't done by U.S. alone. ''It’s not shameful to admit vulnerability, it’s realistic.'' It's not shameful to admit U.S. could not have done it alone; it's realistic. ''I understand national pride, but it shouldn’t blind you to reality.'' I understand national pride, but it shouldn't blind you to reality; U.S. needs help, and without reform, U.S. will implode, and there will be no reform due to majority of U.S. electorate being stupid, cowardly, insane to hold politicians accountable. ''You import 80% of your food and live next to nuclear-armed enemies.'' Yes, why ROK wants ROKN to become the most powerful navy in the world by 2050, and wants to work on the most advanced AB missile system in the world by 2050, so that ROK could neutralize those ICBMs/SLBMs at the source in their silos, beneath the waves. ''Why not acknowledge these facts and work on strengthening your alliances?'' ...because U.S. has increasingly erratic foreign policy that would be against ROK's OTNI. Not only that, U.S. has never been exactly trustworthy; U.S. has different agenda than ROK's. Just because ROK and U.S. had common interest at one time, doesn't mean they had the same motive, and will have the same common interest. For now, R0K and U.S. has common interest regarding China, but the motives are different. U.S. also has not been exactly trust worthy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1977/12/17/us-had-53-plan-to-overthrow-unreliable-korean-ally/53816fa5-c677-4d57-964c-09edd8605c42/ One reason why U.S. decided not to go through was due to Lee Beom Seok, who wanted to turn ROK into Nazi Korea; Lee most likely would have gotten the support of the public. It would have been a PR nightmare for U.S. in the Cold war. ''After his release in April 1933, he became a military inspection team for Europe under the direction of the Military Commission of the Chinese Nationalist Party, and when he went to Germany, it was just in time for the inauguration of Adolf Hitler's regime. There are several clues that show that Lee Beom-seok was a supporter of fascism. It is known that the Korean National Youth League he founded was modeled after the Hitler Youth, and there are fascist elements in the slogan "national ground, national ground" and ethnic theory that emphasizes lineage. There is also a testimony that immediately after liberation, he said, "What is democracy, but it must be a political system like the Nazis." However, Western democracy, which advocates civil rights, is unacceptable because it pursues mechanical equality. It causes the 'disease of democracy'. Lee Beom-seok himself says that it is like 'sophistry' and 'feudal thought', but concludes that the 'Min Yu Bang Ben' of the Eastern tradition is the real democracy. He was impressed by the Nazis' economic reconstruction and became friendly to Nazism under the influence of the Korean student 'Myeong'\[20\], who was studying in Germany, .... The following year, in June 1946, he returned to Korea in his personal capacity, and in October of that year, with the support of the U.S. military government, he founded the Korean National Youth League, a youth organization that advocated "national and national ground"\[23\], with the support of the U.S. military government, and took office as its leader. \[24\] His actions led his opponents to criticize him as a militaristic in Joseon and even a 'follower of Hitler', and Jokcheong is said to have earned him the nickname 'Lee Beom-seok Yukent'. In fact, it is said that he was sad when he heard that Hitler was dead and Nazi Germany was destroyed. \[25\] \[25\] Lee Beom-seok is one of the few people who studied the Nazis in Korea, and Bruce Cummings named Lee Beom-seok and Ahn Ho-sang as people who studied the Nazis in Korea, and Chunwon Lee Kwang-so is also said to have studied Hitler. The first Minister of Education Ahn Ho-sang was influenced by Nazism and advocated the principle of 'everyone unite under a strong leader', but he, like Lee Beom-seok, was saddened when he heard the news of the defeat of the Nazis, dissolved the voluntary student council, created the Student Patriotic Corps, organized the school into a military-style system, and won the 'National Education Charter' under the Park Chung-hee regime.'' https://namu.wiki/w/%EC%9D%B4%EB%B2%94%EC%84%9D#s-2.2 https://www.harvard-yenching.org/research/between-fascism-and-3rd-world-ism-history-eight-years-following-liberation-focusing/ ROK cannot accompany suboptimal U.S. foreign policy when it's against ROK OTNI, and OTWI (Optimal Totalitarian World Interest) ROK must follow her destiny: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasianism U.S. will implode anyway. Why should ROK go down along with U.S.? https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/1314b528e41801a4555c8bcb8042e1ff ROK's grand strategy for the future cannot accommodate globalist U.S. foreign policy. https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/a604ca46fad7acb837917d2534011e91 ''True power comes from recognizing your weaknesses, not denying them.'' You could apply that to yourself: U.S. will implode. https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/755567dc206deb5588bdbfff2b9f1981
