What do Korean Americans think..
in
korea
Yes, it's hard to argue that there has not been any election interference, especially in today's modern age of mass communication. Whether one is leaning more towards the right or the left, the powers that be will always do whatever they need to keep that power and the mass will be the ones to suffer. As Agent Smith famously said, "Hear that Mr. Anderson? That's the sound inevitability..." 😅

There are Yoon supporters out there who are demonstrating in public. But they are the minority. I wouldn't say they are "huge protests". And yeah, the vast majority of media outlets are covering facts: Yoon illegally and unilaterally declared martial law. Whatever reason or excuse he claims were just that: excuses. The facts are coming out in criminal court and he will end up in prison. It's actually quite disturbing to see how easily people are manipulated by conspiracy theories and mis/disinformation nowadays. Yoon's supporters are very active on Youtube and they spread lies and misinformation to clutter the truth so that normal people wouldn't be able to determine what is fact and what isn't. It's the same media strategy implemented by MAGA. Just lie and disregard facts and truth, and continue to BOLDLY lie over and over again until people accept it fact. You said, "According to some sources, America is involved in this, and supposedly arrested several Chinese infiltrators and took them to Japan." I mean, bro, common sense. What sources is this based on? Where's the evidence? You seem like a fellow who doesn't lack critical thinking skills but it baffles me that you seem so easily swayed by anything you read online without checking the facts. Maybe it's why you are posting here. Then I will tell you clearly: don't fall for conspiracy theories and misinformation.

It's really hard to distinguish truth and facts vs. mis/disinformation that's intentionally being shared online. Basically, the former president attempted a military coup but the people rose up and let their voices heard. Democracy is sacred in Korea because we know where we came from. Is Yoon similar to Trump? I would say so. But in Korea, the people's voices matter (more so than in the US) and Yoon will probably end up in prison.
