There are Yoon supporters out there who are demonstrating in public. But they are the minority. I wouldn't say they are "huge protests". And yeah, the vast majority of media outlets are covering facts: Yoon illegally and unilaterally declared martial law. Whatever reason or excuse he claims were just that: excuses. The facts are coming out in criminal court and he will end up in prison. It's actually quite disturbing to see how easily people are manipulated by conspiracy theories and mis/disinformation nowadays. Yoon's supporters are very active on Youtube and they spread lies and misinformation to clutter the truth so that normal people wouldn't be able to determine what is fact and what isn't. It's the same media strategy implemented by MAGA. Just lie and disregard facts and truth, and continue to BOLDLY lie over and over again until people accept it fact. You said, "According to some sources, America is involved in this, and supposedly arrested several Chinese infiltrators and took them to Japan." I mean, bro, common sense. What sources is this based on? Where's the evidence? You seem like a fellow who doesn't lack critical thinking skills but it baffles me that you seem so easily swayed by anything you read online without checking the facts. Maybe it's why you are posting here. Then I will tell you clearly: don't fall for conspiracy theories and misinformation.

I'm not easily swayed by anything I read online without checking the facts. That's the reason I asked here. I would prefer to get facts from Korean sources who understand the country and understand the politics, and that can share observations that family members living in Korea might be able to provide. Western media does not understand Korean politics, and terms like "right" and "left", "progressive", "democratic" often have different meanings. Also, our media reports with their own bias in mind, and I'd prefer to hear from sources that do not have US bias attached. I never said what I believed was happening over there. I have no idea. I'm asking to see if someone with close ties to Korea can answer from their perspective.

''Western media does not understand Korean politics, and terms like "right" and "left", "progressive", "democratic" often have different meanings.'' Correct; The western meaning of 'right', 'left' does not apply to ROK. I have lived in U.S. since 1982; I left ROK when I was 15. Yoon is a scumbag, a bully pretending to be a hero. He's in trouble, basically because he married a dumb bitch who thinks she's smarter than others, and used his position as POTUS for graft for herself, and her family is no better. Daughter like mom. Trump would have never married a bitch like that; he's too smart for that. Yoon is one of those classic all American loser type; you know, ''I gotta be me, right or wrong, I gotta be me. I gotta stand by my woman, whether she's right or wrong lest she and others think I'm a coward.'' Yoon is nothing like Trump. His supporters pretend that he is; he's not. I support Trump by the way, with qualification.
