Hey @Sonatime, I will give you one of the many pros of living in South Korea. And this goes back....but...also has context for here. The Pojang Macha - Is an all night drinking 'establishment' - and people stay and drink till the sun rise. The drink of choice is soju. It is ubiquitous in South Korea. And hence the Sojooo and the Pocha. This was a clever capture of that atmosphere....part of its appeal to me. I adored this culture when I was there...and made many amazing friends with countless good times. Those were the days my friend.... Peace.😇

I've tried soju, and it's mild enough that one can drink it easily but I never really developed a taste for it, maybe I just haven't had it enough times. But I do love sake, even though the very first time I tried it I found it offensive:) Do Koreans tolerate sake and Japanese culture, or is it a sore point?

When I was there, there was still quite a bit of animosity towards the Japanese...in general. But for the most part, they tolerate Japanese culture and the people...and show respect as well. It was a sensitive issue, even where I worked in the Foreign Languages Department....maybe even more so here....but they made it work well and the departments all got along well....not much animosity on our campus...good group. Not too sure what it is like today....wild times. Peace.😇
