When I was there, there was still quite a bit of animosity towards the Japanese...in general. But for the most part, they tolerate Japanese culture and the people...and show respect as well. It was a sensitive issue, even where I worked in the Foreign Languages Department....maybe even more so here....but they made it work well and the departments all got along well....not much animosity on our campus...good group. Not too sure what it is like today....wild times. Peace.😇
