Thanks for the reply and questions. I live here now in the greatest small town called Atlixco. I am trying to recruit people or families to join us. The options are numerous but a larger property with community living fundamentals is the basic idea, but it comes in many forms. Individuals having their own private plots and private homes with a central farm and common area is ideal in my opinion. I have been trying to recruit people for over 6 months already but I find people mostly unwilling to listen. My belief is that is because of the daily onslaught of negative press about Mexico in the US media. I have lived in Mexico for 6 years and have found the complete opposite from what I was told was here and what I continue to see in reporting. Rules and exact setup will be dependant on the group. I have many ideas and have a developed a complete plan for a specific property here, but it is no longer available. If it were my plan exactly, it will be as described a with private property surrounding a common area and a farm with fruits, vegetables and at least chickens for the whole community. There would be a restaurant/bar and a store or market at the front of the property. Food is amazingly cheap here with most veggies being under 1 US dollar per pound and much less than 50 cents. The farm will start small and grow into a fully sustainable entity that would serve all and maybe in time produce a return through the market and restaurant. Water is not an issue here. There is city water and a well is very easy to construct here with very shallow water table and much surface water. We have a sparkling clean and deep creek that runs along the property where I currently rent. One of the amazing benefits is the low cost of skilled labor. For example I have a housekeeper and a gardener and I'm not a wealthy person by any stretch. Everything costs only a fraction of what it does back in the US and the quality of labor is much better because people are happy to work. For that reason maintaining a property here is a much better proposition across the board and could require little to no labor from owners if they choose that route. Property ownership is the biggest issue but doesn't have to be. My wife and her family are from here and have lived in the same house for over 40 years. For thaty reason individual ownership for non Mexicans would be by contract until the proper legal requirements were met by those individuals, and then the contract would convert into direct ownership. Anyone interested or who decides to join would be welcome to be on site as much or as little as they care to during initial phases and be a part of the process if they desire. Again I appreciate the questions and opportunity to explain myself better. I'm happy to discuss more. I hope you don't mind but I'll post this reply to the Pocha for others to see. Thanks again!!!

Yes go ahead and use my questions in your pocha I do not mind. I would offer you my 2 cents. I don't think your biggest obstacle is **Mexico**, or peoples *fear of living in Mexico*. But peoples fear of you. There are countless good and very bad examples of utopian communes. *"The road to hell is paved with good intentions"* - unknown *"The road to utopia is paved with bad intentions"* - Ian Clarity While I think your goal is honorable. It seems like it's still locking people into the Matrix, maybe just with better weather. You bring up that food is cheap where you live. But If I hypothetically uproot my family and move to Mexico. I will have to stop working in the USA and Start working in Mexico. Meaning I will now be earning pesos. Unless someone is coming with great net worth they could retire on. But then you are speaking to a very small group of people. And If I had the net worth to do so, What benefit do I gain from you and your community? Sure there is remote work, but good enjoyable remote work is often hard to find, especially if you are not just remote but living out of country.

Thanks again for the reply. The benefit is the safety and security. A prepaid retirement for people who fear they will never be able to do so. While being outside of the societal collapse that has been happening for at least a decade and watching from a distance. And that collapse is happening now, and even excluding what economic collapse or worse may be to come. It's an insurance policy on life and a permanent vacation, where the entertainment and good times will never run out. It's an opportunity to not only survive the future but to thrive and enjoy every day. And that's why I mention private property. If someone chose to live in the community and rarely if ever interact with the others, that would be their business. Food is cheap and thats not including the on site farm any owner would have full rights to. They would just have life sustaining options available to them daily and year round and forever. That's why its a prepaid retirement because after development it would provide anything needed while having endless additional options available as well. You mention great wealth needed to retire on. That's my point exactly. This is retirement for people without great wealth, with the same benefits that great wealth would provide. As I mentioned, it's not for someone expecting to earn their full income here. A paycheck to paycheck person or family would have to save significantly before making such a drastic change, even as cheap as it is. Remote work is hard to find. It took me years to earn the right to work abroad. This plan is for people who have some type of income or even better some savings, but wealth is not needed to bring this plan to fruition. This plan is most effective for someone who wants to retire in the future and has taken steps to do so, but sees the cost of it and fears the day may never come when they too can retire in comfort and gain lifes real freedom, and the tranquility they thought they were working for these years. It's not for everyone, but it does have the ability to be a real paradise for many.
