Medical advice from an infinitely smart god. Priest looks at it, sends you to isolation.  Priest looks at it again, sends you to isolation. This is what medical advice looks like from the Jewish storm god Yahweh. This is what desert medicine from ancient people is like. Nothing about solving the issue or addressing the cause. Fleas or germs? Nah. Go stand outside the camp and yell "unclean, unclean". That will solve all the issues. Now come back and sacrifice an animal to god. You people claim other civilizations as barbaric that sacrifice animals, but its okay when you do it.

You are still losing sleep over 3,000 year-old sanitation laws? You are mocking quarantine protocol, and the only ancient culture that was guided that isolation stops plagues thousands of years before the invention of microscopes. Calling it "desert medicine" doesn't change the fact that while neighboring tribes were rubbing animal dung into wounds, the Israelites survived because they kept the sick outside the camp (Leviticus 13). Yelling "unclean" wasn't a magic spell, it was an ancient public health warning so you didn't accidentally contaminate your neighbors. It’s the bronze age version of a biohazard sign. The sacrifices weren't pagan bargains for rain, they were a psychological reminder of the heavy cost of wrongdoing, and the priests actually ate the meat. It was a community observance with strict moral boundaries. You are furious that a ancient text uses ancient language instead of a 21st-century medical textbook. Go hug one of your dogs and let your blood pressure come down
