"This absurd inclusion of "inspired it to appear over 6,800 times". Oh dear GOD! Must you include the presupposition with every single declaration?" When I say “inspired,” I’m going by what Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:16 - “All Scripture is God-breathed and useful…” I don’t know why else someone would seriously read the Bible if they don’t accept that it is from God. That is my starting point. I approach the text as God’s word. I’m not trying to prove that to you. I’m simply explaining

Really? What gave you the idea I thought you were trying to convince me? How would that help you? You're engaged in several presuppositions here. Firstly, you think the bible has no value, nothing to teach us, unless we accept the caveat: "Well, sure, it sounds crazy; but it's from God!" And, I know that's not what you think you were saying, but think about it for a minute. You haven't realized, even though I've explicitly alluded to it that I not only haven't told you what I believe, but that I don't think I even should? Apparently you just presupposed that I must be giving you a taste of my beliefs? Also, why should you imagine that "Paul" is talking about the bible when he mentions "scripture"? "Scripture" was just writing. And, unless you're admitting that "Paul" was written into the story after the fact, there was no bible, and it's only in the crazy "make everything fit" world where linear time is irrelevant that he could be talking about the bible. I find considerable value in analyzing this collection of stories to see what the cultures which influenced them were like and how people inspired by those stories are affected today. For instance, this Jewish list of historical grievances. Why are they concerned with keeping track of who they believe owes them for their history? Look up the history of the Amalekites in relation to Israel. It begins with Esau and continues to this very day. "They" consider you to be a continuation of this battle over their supremacy, and I've recently seen indications they currently are pushing back the division to Cain and Abel. That list of historical slights to them is a ledger they have every intention of making you and everyone else in the world pay for. That's valuable information.

If I didn’t believe the Bible is from God, I would honestly have much less interest in it. I might still read some stories for their historical or cultural value, but I probably wouldn’t give it serious, ongoing attention. I was offered a reason to read the Bible because of its many compelling stories, and there are plenty of good reasons to understand what the text says and means, both historically and in its modern influence. But personally, I’ve approached it on an individual human spiritual level. It clarifies and helps me make sense of greater reality. The global good vs evil developments, anti-creation trends, and the unfortunate end times scenarios also make sense for me from the Biblical Christian perspective. It does help me understand the reality of certain old and modern Jewish perspectives and Talmudic reasoning but not that I would or could agree with any of those conclusions.

Unless you understand the eschatology, you don't really understand anything at all.
