If I didn’t believe the Bible is from God, I would honestly have much less interest in it. I might still read some stories for their historical or cultural value, but I probably wouldn’t give it serious, ongoing attention. I was offered a reason to read the Bible because of its many compelling stories, and there are plenty of good reasons to understand what the text says and means, both historically and in its modern influence. But personally, I’ve approached it on an individual human spiritual level. It clarifies and helps me make sense of greater reality. The global good vs evil developments, anti-creation trends, and the unfortunate end times scenarios also make sense for me from the Biblical Christian perspective. It does help me understand the reality of certain old and modern Jewish perspectives and Talmudic reasoning but not that I would or could agree with any of those conclusions.
