Your whole thesis is wrong. We were never designed to be a democracy of any sort but a Constitutional Republic. The founding fathers wanted to stay away from everything European and democracy is a European concept from Greece

We seem to call every formula that involves voting a democracy nowadays. All so called democracies are very different from what the Greeks did originally. But if different wording can make the text more palatable ill take it. Thanks!
