I understand what you are writing even though my thoughts and maybe where I am are more disjointed. The New Testament is inspiring despite what new converts were facing: 2 Timothy 4:7, where he says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." It must be freeing once one can focus on the spiritual and not covet the worldly things. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” The nation of Israel seems always had a turbulent relationship with God and it is a lesson for everyone reading the Bible. Acts 7:51-52 New International Version 51 “You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52 Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— I fail to see why jewish people would want to live in Palestine unless it is to fulfill the antichrist prophecy and I can't think of things that paint their culture in positive light. I was never sure why people experiment with certain substances. I was never eager to see if there is something I might not be able to say no to. Always thought they can only make the mind more susceptible and less healthy. I never thought it was to lessen the ego burden. And anytime I heard what people experienced while taking ayahuasca it was very concerning. It does appear to change some people for life, to put it mildly.

I left a post in the christian pocha where I explained my take on the 3rd temple, and how I too believe they are reigning in the end times, except they call it "The Messianic Age". Someone asked what I thought about the abomination of desolation. Its not irrelevant to stuff we've been talking about. I tried to include the context necessary for it to make sense. https://soj.ooo/p/christianity/post/4d055a2c3dcf2cdc632b3d9eeee89f42/comment/23508 I think The Messianic Age what Trump is referring to as "The Golden Age", which is a term that was coined by Alice Bailey, one of the creators of the modern new age movement. She started a company called Lucifer Publishing. Today it's called Lucis Trust. The seeds these people have sown over the years are getting ripe. I did alot of drugs myself back in the day. Smoked alot of DMT, lots of acid n whatnot, but it played a big part in my about-face too. I have some interesting stories, especially from the DMT. I don't recommend it, it's not just fun and games, there is some spiritual stuff going on there, but I had a lot of fun while I was doing them. Honestly, it's not a big deal, as long as you are sane. If you have screws loose tho, then you may not come out the same. They do change people at least a lil bit, but it usually in the direction of creativity and spiritually. They can be a catalyst for people to find Jesus. It can help you to understand how there's a spirit realm that overlays ours, which will make you search for answers. Jesus can absolutely meet you there. But trying to find God that way can lead you in a very wrong direction too. I was baptized when I was 10, so I've always had Jesus, and I believe that he is the only reason that I made it thru the fire. Unscathed too. I think it was all part of the plan, but I don't recommend going that route.
