His words hung in the air — ornate, overbuilt, absurdly precise. A linguistic cathedral in a room full of cardboard huts. People blinked, unsure whether to clap or cough. Language, to him, wasn’t a tool; it was a battlefield, and every syllable was a soldier. I wanted to laugh, but part of me admired the conviction, the audacity of believing words still mattered that much — that truth could be sculpted from syllables and armor forged from roots.
