think we have a good community of homeschooling parents in here~. Hope to see people get involved.  Something I think about a lot.  Hoping to gain perspective.   Thanks for starting this one.

I know I had my concerns when I started. My daughter is in 4th grade now and we’ve been homeschooling her from the start. For me, it’s not as hard as I was making it out to be in my mind before we started.

My biggest concern is being around more. My current job is shift work, and I'd just like to be around my family more.

Definitely think that's one of the biggest concerns. Especially when most parents work full time and maybe, depending where you live, both parents are working. I thought at the beginning that I was going to have to work and rush home to be there and get everything done. Doing it for about 5 years now, you see that that concern ends up being not too concerning after all. Question - did you go through public school growing up?

Hi, we are planning on homeschooling in a couple of years and thanks for starting this pocha.  I'm just wondering if you have some curriculum you follow or how the nuts and bolts of it go?  The one thing I know is that the pressure from work colleagues will be enormous.  No one goes outside the lines around here and they are more than eager to let you know.
