You know it is interesting people always shift the Bible to say we are the good guys, we are Israel and their rivel is always the bad guys, the rejected son. So God gives the heir the title Canaanite and Philistine. Hosea said of Israel they will be called Not Mine (Lo-Ammi), Cast Aside (Jezreel), and not Loved (Lo-Ruhamah). All these have come true upon the Arabs and yet those that were called not my people will be called Children of the Living God. In fact the Day of Jezreel means the day of the Cast Aside. See Hosea Chapter 1.

Israel is the people that Believe what Jesus said, and accepted the offer. When he died, God's chosen people became those who accepted that. Participating in beliefs that accommodate any other narrative devalues the sacrifice paid for our sin.

I am pretty sure anything a person thinks as an imperfection in God's sacrifice for our sin is a sin. If in the back of you mind you think Jesus was a wise man who taught a powerful message, but I don't know if he was "perfect", why is that? For me it always fell apart when we were still waiting for him. If you believe he missed the mark with his "this generation shall not pass" remark, it makes it difficult to understand how it even got started, but if you accept he came back and destroyed Rome and Israel like he said, it all starts to make sense again.
