The government has a job to do such as defend the country and enforce law and order. Nothing more. Its not a popularity contest for elected officials. These are jobs. If the people are doing their jobs well, then let them keep their job. If they aren't doing their jobs well, then they need to be fired. We can judge by metrics. Also, much smarter people such as Ron Paul and many great thinkers have worked out how to have a "working" government. Allowing people to vote is not a good way to run a government.

I'll speak the libertarian language, so you'll make the minimal effort to understand what I already tried to explain to you. It doesn't matter if the government is ultra small of big. The totality of EVERYTHING could theoretically be privatized. It doesn't matter. For instance, there is a private corporation that has invested in weaponry and infrastructures to give services to "defend the country". You're one of the 300ish million shareholders of that private corporation. You want to manage your own personal business and family and hire someone to manage this other "defend the country" business you partly own. How are the shareholders going to select managers for this company? THEY'RE GOING TO VOTE.
