I'm no theologian but as far as I know Christianity doesn't teach that if someone is not Christian that you can or should kill them. Islam teaches that you should, Judaism teaches that you can. Correct me if I'm wrong. I have the most heretical view ever, that the Old Testament God Yahweh is not the father of Jesus Christ and that Jesus came here to tell people that they were worshiping the wrong God. He couldn't say it outright or he would be killed, so he spoke in parables and there were plenty of hints. Notice he never called him Yahweh, only "my father". Yahweh was a psychopath, and I think Christians were fooled into believing that their God was the same as the God of the Jews. Early Christian sects called Gnostic Christians believed this and I never felt comfortable calling myself a Christian until I learned about Gnosticism and Christian mysticism because I know the stories of the Old Testament and could not believe for one second that the loving and forgiving God that Jesus spoke of could possibly be referring to Yahweh, and Jesus's actions and words were opposite of Yahweh so they cannot be one and the same. I think we have been lied to for many hundreds of years about almost everything, and most definitely about the most important things. I still have my sanity only because my identity never rested on any one particular story or identity, but I can imagine that for most people it would be too devastating to pull out the rug of what they think they know. Look how much can change in society in just two generations based on the current narratives and propaganda. Those of us who are skeptical can at least for now still search out opposing information to what's being fed to us. Can we now see how much things could be skewed over the course of 2,000 years? None of us know the truth about anything for sure, and even if we know some of the truth we will never know why. Any religion when taken way too seriously can be dangerous (like a cult) and it's even more dangerous when the "holy books" of that religion tell you that anyone else should be harmed for not following "the rules". I don't know what could be done about people who base their entire lives on these so called "holy teachings", especially when the teaching don't sound very holy.

What I find funny is that people forget that before Judaism, Christianity, and the Muslim religion, there were other Gods that humanity believed in. The Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Asians, etc., had multiple Gods and Goddesses, and that's in the Old World. Not to mention that Abraham believed in other Gods (Baal, El, etc.) before Yahweh told him to leave his family to head to Egypt, but at that time, others still believed in the old Gods. Christianity was created from Judaism. Jesus was the Messiah that the Jews were waiting for, but they didn't believe in Him, and so Christianity was born. That is why the Bible consists of the Old and New Testaments. The Muslim religion is a continuation of those religions. In the New World, before these religions were imposed on the indigenous people, they had their Gods. Now the New World worships Gods that they didn't believe in but were forced to believe in unless they wanted death. Even today, people believe in different Gods. People worship God, Jesus, Mary, and every Saint they can think of (Pantheons). We have the Mormons, Scientology, and every religion under the sun. Humanity wants to understand what they can't understand, believe in something other than themselves, and want someone to understand them and forgive them for their cruelty.
