I am all for it so long as the pair are worthy enough; not all pairs are worthy enough, but they think they do, and/or society conditions them to think they can/should even when they can't.

Yes, it is, poor parenting, and/or suboptimal results from biological lottery.   Just because a fella brings a lot of money doesn't necessarily mean he is optimal for lifetime pair bonding.

Sometimes it is, some other times, it's both social and economic.    Why I support OTNI first, instead of individual rights.

It would be a part of the solution; men and women who are not worthy enough for marriage should stop deluding themselves, and indulge themselves with others like-minded, and leave the providing the next gen to those who are worthy enough.  Most of my ex-friends were not worthy, but they all thought they were!

I am not advocating mandating polygamy/polyandry, or multiple husbands/multiple wives relationship; I am advocating they should be allowed for consenting adults.   If a person wants a monogamy (I do), then they would be free to pursue such a relationship, just don't cheat!   Don't be a hypocrite.
