I don't follow closely, and I let folks in. I wanted to be a racecar driver growing up, and I loved racing simulator games. I read traffic ahead and behind, I treat driving like a passtime - and stay present, so I don't get 'cut off'. I see them coming a long way away if they drive erratically or impatiently, and prepare if I notice. If it's sudden, I just tap the brakes. If I'm being tailgated, I move over into another lane and let them by. I used to have issues when I was a more impatient driver, but I'm older now. I'm picking up what you're putting down.
