''Lol, good ole days.'' Sometime between the turn of the 20th century, and 80s, or some might define it, between the turn of the 20th century, and WW1. ''You mean like today and the future?'' Typical false American exceptionalism answer; U.S. is behind 20 to 30 years in naval construction/production technology, behind 5 to 10 years in stealth technology, started falling behind in laser, radars, aviation technology recently. At this rate, U.S. is going to be a burned out has been, a nobody who used to be somebody, a laughingstock of the world by 2050. Per Tucker and Oswald Spengler , U.S. might not even exist by 2075, at the federal level, or even at state level, especially in blue states.
