Typical false American exceptionalism answer; U.S. is behind 20 to 30 years in naval construction/production technology, behind 5 to 10 years in stealth technology, started falling behind in laser, radars, aviation technology recently. At this rate, U.S. is going to be a burned out has been, a nobody who used to be somebody, a laughingstock of the world by 2050. Per Tucker and Oswald Spengler , U.S. might not even exist by 2075, at the federal level, or even at state level, especially in blue states.
