Okay, I'm going to need a little more handholding than that. What does the term "true Christian" mean in the context of this story? What are the hitman's prior assumptions and basic relevant background?

I knew a man who was a career criminal before converting based on the strength of faith demonstrated by "those crazy people" he eventually joined.

Is the idea that he's influenced by the woman? Converted? Troubled? Amused?

Is the idea hinging on the idea of unconditional love for, yet responsibility of every cognizant actor in God's universe? Sort of like: He created Satan with greater capacity than humans, therefore he's held to a higher standard?

In the biblical Christian conception, the receiving of great gifts carries with it the burden of great expectations. This is fairly evident in biblical writings such as Luke 12:48 "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

A high performance hitman might very well vibe with this philosophy, since he could feasibly do the seeming impossible, then that's what's often asked of him.

To conceive of exiting an airliner at altitude after initiating a an event in person; seeing it through before leaving is a certain death sentence to anyone else, and you'll need to come up with some kind of plausible scenario for how he intends to pull that off. Throw in some HALO training, arrange for a passenger with an oxygen bottle to seize prior to escape; an item that could trip him up in the ensuing investigation as it's either never found or is found miles away from where it should have been found by a "bloodhound" investigator. Perhaps one who's prone to quoting bible verses apropos, to him, during the investigation.

I'd advise that you peruse "mythvision" on youtube for videos explaining a great deal of the origin of the bible and Christianity. There's no way you're going to want to choke down the books I've read on the subject, and they're largely out of date at any rate.

Virtually every "Christian" sect considers itself the one true version of Christianity, and most have a greater claim than would be supposed.

Regardless, virtually all "real Christians" share a fairly intense ignorance of the collection of writings they're supposedly deeply concerned about.

Matters such as "kosher" animals are of no concern to virtually any of them, because according to what they've been taught, they don't need to concern themselves about them.

Another peculiarity is that modern Christians essentially read the bible backwards. Which is to say they essentially consider "Revelations" as established fact and consider all previous writings as in some way needing to conform to it.

In short, Christianity, to the extent it can be considered merely one thing, are all attempting to mold history and all biblical writings to their peculiar conception of the book of Revelations.

Ironically, Revelations is probably one of the oldest of the Christian writings in the bible.

Regardless, the "true Christian" is most likely concerned first and foremost with their [eschatology](https://www.britannica.com/topic/eschatology).

This is not to say that they are not concerned with their day-to-day life. They definitely are, but it's generally speaking all in service toward an imaginary future "end of times".

Growing up in precisely such a sect (cult, if you will) I'm intimately familiar with how this works.

Anyway, that's plenty for you to chew on, probably more than you're comfortable clawing your way through.

Question away. I'll answer as honestly as I know how.

But, I need to know how this "true Christian" is intended to influence your hitman in order to give you what I see as the plausible Christian influence of this particular character.

''What does the term "true Christian" mean in the context of this story?''

A person who is not afraid of death following the teachings of Jesus: Most 'Christians' are.

''What are the hitman's prior assumptions and basic relevant background?''

The hitman was originally from the last days of the Soviet Union; he was recruited from an orphanage, along with others, including the main character, 'Mommyfucker' of the story, 'The Theater of Life' for homosexual pedophile prostitution ring in the early 80s, run by a Jewish Russian mathematician down on his luck, who finally took up the advice from his own family connections, which were the affiliates of Jewish prostitution ring, such as Zwi Migdal.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zwi_Migdal

Later the hitman and 'Mommyfucker' were the only two survivors of the prostitution ring, when some VIP clients feeling the heat, decided to pre-empt by having all the children murdered.   The hitman then served in Sicarios in Latin America, and later on, as merc/assassin/body guard in the former Soviet Union.

''Is the idea that he's influenced by the woman? Converted? Troubled? Amused?''

Yes, but not in the way you listed above, more primal, one of his last wish before he dies is to be able to feel the warmth/wetness/softness of her pussy inside with his bare hands (she was knocked unconscious by that point during the fall after the airliner blew up, and he was going down with her with only one parachute, the reserve parachute having been torn off during the escape)

It will be based on this event:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Rankin

He wonders whether he would become a spirit like the original story of little mermaid.

''The marriage is celebrated aboard a ship, and the Mermaid's heart breaks. She despairs, thinking of the death that awaits her, but before dawn, her sisters arrive and give her a dagger from the Witch. If the Mermaid kills the prince and lets his blood drip onto her feet, she will become a mermaid once more, all her suffering will end, and she will live out her full life in the ocean with her family. However, the Mermaid cannot bring herself to kill the prince, and she throws herself off the ship and into the ocean.

The Mermaid's body dissolves into foam, but instead of ceasing to exist, she turns into an ethereal earthbound spirit, a daughter of the air. While ascending into the atmosphere, she is greeted by other daughters, who also strove to obtain an immortal soul. Because of the Mermaid's sacrifice, she is given a chance to do good deeds for all her life. When her life ends, she will receive a soul and rise up into Heaven.''

''To conceive of exiting an airliner at altitude after initiating a an event in person; seeing it through before leaving is a certain death sentence to anyone else, and you'll need to come up with some kind of plausible scenario for how he intends to pull that off. Yes, he's done it before for insurance money for some filthy rich assholes, trying to get rid of competing relatives.

He has connections; he is aware of 'Mommyfucker' ' plan, which will change the history of human race forever in a drastic way.   The hitman wants her as his bride/eternal wife; had he survived the fall with her, he would have taken her to his assigned hide outs and wait for the 'event' after which, governments around the world will fall, allowing 'Mommyfucker' to create the new world.   The hitman and his bride are going to be a part of that new world.

''But, I need to know how this "true Christian" is intended to influence your hitman in order to give you what I see as the plausible Christian influence of this particular character.''

The hitman wants an ultra ideal wife; he decides she has the potential to be that wife/mother, to start a new world after the event 'Mommyfucker' orchestrates takes place.

'Mommyfucker' would be someone like this:

Fascinating, to the extent I imagine I understand. So, "hitman" is essentially an internal identity to him?

And he seems to see this woman as a potential software upgrade, essentially. And in his uniquely simplistic fashion he imagines accepting this woman's world view would actually effect his personal reality?

So, it's not particularly relevant what particular sect of Christianity this "True Christian"  subscribes to. What's important as I take if from your description is that whatever her primary convictions are, she considers her faith in whatever she imagines Christianity to be to be more primal than life and death.

It's interesting to me that you're more or less describing the sect of Christianity I grew up with. In their case, they pretty much universally displayed indifference to approaching death from any cause whatsoever. I personally knew more than one person who lost their lives to skin cancer which ate their faces off. Never complained. Ever. And met their ends in absolute agony I can only attempt to imagine.

I have to imagine some sort of "WTF" moment for "killer", when he realizes he's dealing with someone who doesn't seek to bargain or deny her fate, but instead places "faith" in a higher power. Which is what he is and has been for the moneyed elite for most of his life. The one who makes miracles happen.

In this scenario as I see it, it makes precious little difference this "True Christian's" biblical knowledge, particularly as you present the hitman as imagining himself as a significant spirit on Earth following his Earthly demise.

Such a woman could very easily be one who perceives her survival with him as a "sign from God" that she is chosen to bring him to an understanding of God and his true purpose on Earth.

And the hitman as you've described him seems almost uniquely suited to eventually subscribe to that framing of his existence.

And, what you've described is actually merely an existence. It's not a life in any real sense.

He serves the ends of venal scumbags at his risk according to his ability, which skills HE developed. He serves no purpose beyond their immediate concerns. He has no presence in any future.

My father had 10 children who lived to adults. I have twelve I've done my best with. He mentored dozens.

My father has a greater presence in this now future world than those of us who live in it now.

Hitman feels like the sort of person to perceive that their presence in the world is innately temporary. A tool to be forgotten, at best before it was even discovered.

And he feels like the sort of person to decide he will influence the future he'll never be part of by utilizing this strange woman who believes fantasy with such certitude that it seems to become reality.

I feel like Hitman would have a minimum of four children with her and adopt her "faith" as a pretense he wishes to believe. Perhaps dying after his son takes on the role of "savior" to lead an uprising against the unworthy and ironically for the unworthy.

But, I'm really just building a scenario I can comprehend in light of what I perceive you've told me.

I haven't the slightest idea how God's love for Lucifer or the "unclean" relates to any of this. Or, how it could.

''There's an implication that "hitman" has some internal morality that wouldn't fit the conventional model of morality.''

Yes, he does; he regards conventional morality as phony morality.

''This invites the question of how does he derive his morality? Or does he eschew the category entirely?''

He derives his morality organically based on true incidents he has witnessed with his own eyes, and how people really behave in private.

''The idea that this woman is a "true Christian", and that this characteristic makes her a potential ideal candidate to bear his children implies that he considers this factor relevant to his goals, which must somehow intersect with the values this woman would impart to his children.''

He does; he wants his children to be authentic, totally self-aware of what they are about, not deluding themselves that they believe in something they don't.

''Is it a factor that he considers this woman's loyalty to her cause a genetic feature he'd consider important for his children to have?''

He does.

''But, you brought up the idea that he considers a potential afterlife for himself. It begs the question if he considers the possibility that what HE believes has an effect on that afterlife.''

He does.

Another character I want to imbue him with is Capt. Pike, and Vina.

The story of the hitman and the 'True Christian Lady' on the doomed airliner is going to take 2 to 3 chapters of 'The Theater of Life', a story within a story, that is going to be told like 'The Notes from Underground', 'Little Mermaid', '1984', 'DOA', and 'White Night', and 'The Grand Inquisitor' by Dostoyefsky.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grand_Inquisitor

I intend 'The Theater of Life' to be told, at least partially, in 'One Thousand and One Nights' style.

Musical motif of the hitman's story would be like these three:
