I remember that too on Oprah and the News as a kid. I refused to believe it even as a kid because I knew how temperate and clear headed Germans are, I told that to my German Great Aunt who happened to be my busdriver as a kid. And she told me about my Great Uncle who died on or a day after his 9th Birthday after the Poles came in the Early morning our Neighbors and "Friends" who we lived next to for Centuries came with guns and gave them 10 minutes to round their possessions collected and preserved for centuries with generations of foresight and labor and march 800 miles to a foreign land as a refugee. My Great Great Aunt died a few months later in Berlin and then her part of the Family came to live with our part of the Family in Iowa.
