''One problem you have is if they continue to kick the can down the road for another 20 years or more, what do you do?'' They won't be able to, especially after this Iran fiasco. https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/cb10af7dfc865ae0ab40360cd3fa4a6b https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/e2550669831518365a34be802518d556 You see, unlike many others, I am not a dyed in the wool, anti-American, predicting the imminent collapse of U.S. I am a realist, and unlike those people, I am not didactic, but organic in philosophy. ''You are right that it's going to happen, but right now you are betting your life on a timetable for it'' Yes, I have to, the implosion is to take place by 2050 or sooner; I'll be around 83, in excellent health, far better than most 83 out there. I'll have another 20 years to live. Who is going to give a job to a 83 years old when there will be very little inter-state commerce, and majority of U.S. will have become defunct, lawless anarchies? Most people even in red states would be unemployed, just surviving on emergency food stamps. Shelter will be a no problem, however, with very little travels, all those hotels/motels will be converting to affordable housings. My best option would be to move to Port Angeles, WA, to start a network of businesses very useful after the implosion, becoming a warlord to protect those businesses, and become a mayor of Port Angeles. ''My whole life its been on the edge, but those who own and control everything like it this way. Cause and Effect no longer work based on normal logic and principals; they have kicked the effect down the road for at least 20 years now. The markets and economy are all fake and 100% manipulated.'' You don't have a sound economic and coherent philosophical foundation for your little community; how are you going to protect them from gangbangers? ''You're over 50, where does that leave you in 10 years? '' I am 58, but in excellent health overall, other than my injuries, torn meniscus on left knee, and sciatica on my right hip. I'll take an early retirement at 62, with my new arrangement, I will be able to save 1.1k a month, even without working a part-time job. I will still accumulate ammo/guns/prepper stuff and work full-time writing/editing my stories. I already finished the outlines of most of my stories, dialogues, scenes, character development for most of them. I'll also do long distance bicycling, 16 miles a day everyday so long as weather cooperates. With full-time focus, I should be able to finish all my stories within a few years, a year or two hopefully. Then I should have no problem selling those stories, get them published, and make some, enough money for further investment in gold/silver, KRW stablecoins, while developing, political, economic, military foundation of the new civilization to come after the implosion. By 68, I would be in an excellent shape, better than even now, and reasonably wealthy, a few million or even 10 or 20 million USD, and will move to Port Angeles, WA, to build a foundation after the implosion. I may even do platform thing, with Tucker, Tate, Nick, Shawn Ryan, to get better known for the prospective base after the implosion. I have an advantage over you here: I do not respect majority at sojooo. They are worthless people.

The guy I moved to Colorado with is 72, and he is strong as fuck, and super healthy. He eats right, exercises daily (strength and flexibility stuff plus cardio) and doesn't do drugs or drink alcohol. It's inspirational to see an older dude be fit and strong instead of sitting on the couch drinking beer like so many other older dudes that are debilitated.

Pretty much like me; I'll do some kettle bell, but no bodybuilding stuff; too much time/energy wasted on 'looks'. I'll focus on long distance bicycling, 16 miles a day, everyday, starting on easy, flat, but eventually to multiple big hills, so long as it's not too windy, rainy, or snow/ice on the ground. But cold, would be welcome. That cold air actually makes one more efficient cardio wise, like turbo boost, cold air is dense with oxygen. One can ride faster, and longer. ''It's inspirational to see an older dude be fit and strong instead of sitting on the couch drinking beer like so many other older dudes that are debilitated.'' Especially nowadays, even many young dudes are obese! Back in 80s, young people were fit; people only got obese when they got old, like 60s and after. I never had health insurance in my life, and no worries about my health! I am almost getting a washboad abs at 58!
