The thing not mentioned in the article is the real reason for this foolishness. Chinese like to 'game' certain metrics to pretend that they are 'somebody', the proverbial 'keeping up with jonses' gone to the max. CCP has its own version of 'American Exceptionalism' aka 'Chinese Dream'; the problem is with 'American Exceptionalism', they didn't do it to 'game' the metrics to pretend U.S. was going to be a superpower. It was for real. (Here I am not talking about false American Exceptionalism popular with some, shall I say, too many Americans today.) CCP didn't do it, either, at least at the beginning. But they realized that this building boom had an effect on GDP, which they were using it, to give the appearance that PRC was going to surpass U.S. and become the superpower, that's when CCP started using the building boom, to game the metric, the GDP. Now, I read, at least 25% of GDP was based on this scam. If one were to include the opportunity cost lost, I dare say, half of GDP was illusion. All the resources wasted, could have been used for something far more productive. Not only that, these ghost cities have become potential political WMD for CCP. If anything happened to these ghost cities, CCP will have to bail out all the PRC people who have invested on this scam or else. Similar to what happened to Albania. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_schemes_in_Albania Why in ROK, it became illegal for one person/family to own more than one primary residence home, back in 70s. Government knew this would suck the resources from more productive investments into visually spectacular, photogenic, real estate ventures/scams, that would destabilize the productive economy. Why in ROK, real estate never became the driving engine of GDP growth: The real superpowers in history never used real estate speculation as the foundation of their strength. It was either productive economy, and/or military might. Yes, U.S. too has this real estate speculation masquerading as positive economic force problem; I am not against real estate investment, building homes for people to live in, to work is one thing. Building homes so that speculators can borrow money to buy more, so that they can unload them to the next sucker, with no intention of living there, is a fool's gold. But Americans also have another delusion that Chinese do not have: This obsession with Zionist vanity fantasy project. This will eventually sink U.S. even without MIC, and NeoCon problems. Unfortunately, too many Americans are MIC fanboys, and NeoCon false American Exceptionalists, Free market fundamentalists, plus phony free marketers, actually working for kleptocrats, and plutocrats as well, and Zionist flunkies. Certainly not all Americans are created equal. Add to that, some dumbfucks think all white gentile Americans are equal! They are problems also, just different problems, but the problems nevertheless. They all pose as patriots. You know the saying, '' https://samueljohnson.com/refuge.html

In ROK, people are far less tolerant of phony patriotism than U.S. Also, people are far less 'polite' when it comes to husband defending his bitch of a wife than U.S. In U.S. a man is expected to defend his worthless, useless bitch of a wife when she got caught doing stupid stuff, and that is somehow to be excused if not admired! Not in ROK! Any man defending his worthless, useless, nasty bitch of a wife when she got caught wrong will be called, a soy boy, a bitch's slave, etc. Lesson: Do not marry a bitch. If already married to a bitch, divorce her in a hurry.

Ship carrying 3000 cars 800 EVs and idk how many hybrids to Mexico. Link below & info on Mexican Chinese imports. By Bloomberg News Jun 5, 2025 (Bloomberg) –A cargo ship that was abandoned in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after catching fire Tuesday was carrying cars from several Chinese automakers, according to people familiar with the matter. The Morning Midas was shipping around 3,000 cars from a range of manufacturers including Chery Automobile Co. and Great Wall Motor Co. to Mexico. It’s unclear at this stage which brand’s electric vehicle caught fire, the people said, who asked not to be identified discussing preliminary findings. The eastern Chinese city of Yantai, the port where the ship originated, also has a SAIC Motor Corp.-GM plant that produces the Buick Envision model, while the charterer of the vessel has been reported by local media to be Anji Logistics, a subsidiary of SAIC. Read More: Ship Carrying EVs Abandoned in Pacific After Catching Fire Smoke was first seen coming from a deck of the vessel on Tuesday, whose cargo included about 800 EVs. The crew initiated firefighting procedures but the blaze couldn’t be brought under control. Responders were deployed to support salvage and firefighting operations, the ship’s manager Zodiac Maritime said in a statement. The US Coast Guard, which said the fire aboard the ship occurred approximately 300 miles south of Adak Island in Alaska, evacuated all 22 crew members and transferred them to a nearby merchant ship. Great Wall Motor had about 140 cars on the ship, although none of them were battery EVs and were not located at the deck where the fire started, one of the people said. A representative from Chery declined to comment. Great Wall Motor didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Calls and an email to Anji Logistics weren’t answered. © 2025 Bloomberg L.P. https://gcaptain.com/burning-ship-abandoned-in-pacific-carried-several-chinese-car-brands/ %%Mexico Imports Chinese Cars%% Mexico imports vehicles from several Chinese brands, including Chery, Great Wall Motor, BYD, JAC, SAIC Motor, Geely, and MG Motors. Excerpt. Two Chinese nationals have been charged with allegedly smuggling into the U.S. a fungus called "Fusarium graminearum, which scientific literature classifies as a potential agroterrorism weapon," the Justice Department said Tuesday. This photo released by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan shows what authorities say are biological pathogens discovered in luggage at the airport in Detroit. U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan Yunqing Jian, 33, and Zunyong Liu, 34, citizens of the People’s Republic of China, were allegedly receiving Chinese government funding for their research, some of it at the University of Michigan, officials said. "The complaint also alleges that Jian’s electronics contain information describing her membership in and loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party," a DOJ press release said. "It is further alleged that Jian’s boyfriend, Liu, works at a Chinese university where he conducts research on the same pathogen and that he first lied but then admitted to smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America -- through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport -- so that he could conduct research on it at the laboratory at the University of Michigan where his girlfriend, Jian, worked," according to the press release. This photo released by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan shows what authorities say are biological pathogens discovered in luggage at the airport in Detroit. U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement that the Justice Department "“has no higher mission than keeping the American people safe and protecting our nation from hostile foreign actors who would do us harm." "Thanks to the hard work of our excellent DOJ attorneys, this defendant — who clandestinely attempted to bring a destructive substance into the United States — will face years behind bars," the attorney general said. The FBI says it causes “head blight,” a disease of wheat, barley, maize, and rice, and is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year. “The alleged actions of these Chinese nationals -- including a loyal member of the Chinese Communist Party -- are of the gravest national security concerns. These two aliens have been charged with smuggling a fungus that has been described as a ‘potential agroterrorism weapon’ into in the heartland of America, where they apparently intended to use a University of Michigan laboratory to further their scheme,” U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgan said. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/2-chinese-nationals-charged-smuggling-potential-agroterrorism-fungus/story?id=122454213

The first this a country does when it goes to war id renege on its debt. “They should be paying us, not us paying China,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., backing a proposal that the U.S. should cancel its sovereign debt held by China. Chinatopix via AP file Savewith a NBCUniversal Profile Create your free profile or log in to save this article June 11, 2020, 11:04 AM CDT By Martha C. White The recent intensification of President Donald Trump’s hard line on China has included a wide-ranging grab bag of policies and proposals that touch on everything from student visas to soybean purchases. But the most explosive might be the suggestion floated by some right-wing lawmakers and commentators that the country could choose to default on some of the nearly $1.1 trillion in U.S. Treasury bonds held by China. The proposal alarms analysts, who say even entertaining the idea is dangerous in an economic environment characterized by a pandemic-driven recession and a massive increase in the national debt. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a close Trump ally, said on Fox News, “They should be paying us, not us paying China,” and expressed support for a suggestion from Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., that the U.S. should cancel its sovereign debt held by China. John Yoo, a law professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, said in an article that the U.S. could “make China pay for COVID-19” by reneging on its commitment to bondholders. “Conceivably, Washington could even cancel Chinese-held treasury debt and us\[e\] the proceeds to create a trust fund that would compensate Americans harmed by the pandemic,” he wrote. While Yoo allowed that this would roil financial markets, others say even that acknowledgement vastly understates the scope of economic calamity this would trigger. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy/should-u-s-refuse-pay-back-its-1-trillion-debt-n1227351

By Ryan Chan China News Reporter Trust Project Icon Newsweek Is A Trust Project Member FOLLOW news article 17 China said on Wednesday that "wanton use of force will not make America great again" as President Donald Trump declared a record high $1 trillion defense budget. Newsweek has reached out to the White House and the Pentagon for comment by email. Why It Matters Trump announced on April 7 that his administration would approve the largest expenditure "we've ever done for the military," which his defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, called the first trillion-dollar defense budget, rebuilding the U.S. military on lethality and readiness. This comes after China, which is viewed by the Pentagon as the "pacing threat" and "pacing challenge" to America's security and power, announced in March that it will spend around $250 billion on its military buildup, an increase of 7.2 percent for a third consecutive year. What To Know When asked about the Pentagon's trillion-dollar defense budget, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang claimed that what he called the "bellicose nature" of the U.S., as well as its belief in "might makes right," were exposed by this "sky-high" defense budget. The Chinese spokesperson also urged Washington to "break away from the obsession with hegemony at an early date" and to recognize that "wanton use of force" will inflict what he described as "painful disasters" upon both Americans and people of the rest of the world. Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth President Donald Trump delivers remarks alongside Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on April 10, 2025. Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images The increase in the defense budget comes after the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) instructed the military to propose an 8 percent annual budget cut over the next five years. The Pentagon is reportedly planning to reduce 50,000 to 60,000 civilian workers. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the U.S. is the world's largest defense spender, as it allocated $916 billion in 2023, representing 68 percent of total NATO military spending and accounting for 37 percent of total global military expenditure. This marked the 29th consecutive year-on-year increase in the Chinese defense expenditure, which accounts for half of total military spending in Asia and Oceania.

%%"New body to offer win-win solutions"%% The world's first intergovernmental body focusing on mediation will offer win-win solutions for settling global conflicts and help build more harmonious, fair and cooperative international relationships, senior government officials said on Friday. Foreign Minister Wang Yi and about 400 high-level representatives from 85 countries and nearly 20 international organizations, including the United Nations, gathered in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Friday to attend the signing ceremony of the Convention on the Establishment of the International Organization for Mediation, witnessing the birth of the world's first intergovernmental mediation body. At the ceremony, 32 countries signed up for the convention on-site, becoming the founding members of the mediation body. Dedicated to resolving international disputes through mediation, the organization's headquarters will be established in the Old Wan Chai Police Station in Hong Kong. The building is under renovation, with the mediation body coming into full operation by the end of this year or the beginning of 2026. Wang noted in his opening speech that the launch coincided with the 80th anniversaries of both the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the founding of the United Nations. The preamble of the UN Charter states that countries should live together in peace as good neighbors and unite to maintain international peace and security, said Wang. He said that China has consistently advocated for resolving differences through mutual understanding, building consensus through dialogue, promoting development through win-win cooperation and crafting forward-looking solutions — principles that underpin the nation's distinctive approach to addressing global conflicts. The establishment of the organization serves as an important legal public good for improving global governance and fulfills the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, Wang said. It also embodies the wisdom of harmony and coexistence, and complements existing international dispute resolution mechanisms, such as litigation and arbitration, he added. Hong Kong's return to the motherland is a successful example of resolving international disputes through peaceful means, Wang noted. He said that he believes the city's close bonds with the nation and the rest of the world, its favorable business environment, and its highly developed legal system, which combines the advantages of the common law system and the civil law system, ensure that the SAR is uniquely positioned as an international mediation center. Hailing the organization as a milestone in the history of international relations, Wang called on the international community to support the development of the mediation body and help build a fair, flexible and inclusive global mediation system. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said that the launch of the organization comes as the world faces mounting geopolitical tensions, protectionism and unilateralism, which makes the effective, accessible and peaceful resolution of disputes more essential than ever. "It is dialogue — not division — that restores balance," said Lee. He added that Hong Kong's well-respected legal system, along with its multilingual legal professionals who are well-versed in international rules and practices, helps to position the SAR as a preferred venue for dispute resolution. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, said the organization not only will herald a new era for international mediation but also embodies a crucial multilateral institution upholding diplomatic reconciliation principles. Amon Murwira, Zimbabwe's minister for foreign affairs and international trade, commended China's exemplary leadership in formulating the convention, noting its vital significance in maintaining international stability amid complex geopolitical tensions. Anna Joubin-Bret, secretary of the UN Commission on International Trade Law, said that developing nations show particular interest in using mediation to settle disputes because of its cost-efficiency and mutually beneficial outcomes, which transform potential "lose-lose" scenarios into opportunities for sustained partnership. Following the signing ceremony, a high-level international mediation forum was hosted on Friday afternoon, focusing on topics including mediation of disputes among countries and mediation of international investment and commercial disputes. https://www.ecns.cn/news/politics/2025-05-31/detail-iherwsih6791184.shtml

That month, Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov told President Vladimir Putin that North Korean troops had demonstrated “high professionalism, courage, and heroism” in the operation. During Moscow’s Victory Day celebrations, Putin publicly thanked them for their defense of Kursk Region. “But what’s happening with North Korea being present alongside Russia on European soil is a big question for all of us,” Macron said. “If China doesn’t want NATO being involved in Southeast Asia, they should clearly prevent the DPRK from being engaged on European soil,” he added. At the time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg hinted at opening the office in response to growing military ties between China and Russia, underscored by their joint patrols over the Sea of Japan and East China Sea, which had prompted South Korea and Japan to scramble fighter jets. Last year, US President Joe Biden and other Western leaders urged Beijing to rein in Pyongyang’s deepening military ties with Moscow, highlighting concerns regarding North Korea’s growing involvement. The US and South Korea condemned North Korea’s admission of its role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “With their public admission of the deployment, while claiming they are fully in accordance with international law, they are once again mocking the international community,” Seoul’s foreign ministry said, according to Yonhap News Agency. Moscow Region fire dept says massive fire at factory has been ‘contained’ May 30, 2025 4:41 pm CET By Laura Kayali French President Emmanuel Macron warned China that NATO could become more deeply involved in Asia if Beijing does not do more to stop North Korea from taking part in Russia's war on Ukraine. "North Korea in Ukraine is a big question for all of us. If China doesn’t want NATO to be involved in Southeast Asia, it should prevent \[North Korea\] from being engaged on European soil," Macron said Friday during an address at a major defense summit in Singapore. France has long maintained that the transatlantic military alliance shouldn't expand its reach into Asia and led the campaign to block the opening of a NATO liaison office in Japan in 2023. "I had objected to NATO having a role in Asia because I don’t believe in being enrolled in someone else’s strategic rivalry," Macron said, hinting that Paris could revisit its stance. North Korean troops have supported the Kremlin's war on Ukraine as part of a military pact between the two countries, with Moscow using Pyongyang's soldiers to try push Ukrainian forces out of the Kursk region of southwestern Russia. Macron's speech comes on the heels of an Asian tour that started with a marital dispute and took him to Vietnam and Indonesia, where France signed a series of deals, including on defense. https://www.politico.eu/article/macron-china-keep-north-korea-out-ukraine-nato-to-asia/

"Bottom line: People care less about ideology than they do about jobs, health care, stable prices, good education and some reasonable government accommodation to take care of people who are too old or sick or mentally impaired to provide for themselves." “Our single biggest priority is to improve the lives of the ordinary people.” Xi Jinping, President of China Polling data clearly shows that Americans prefer capitalism over socialism. In fact, it’s not even close. A 2021 Gallup survey found that 60% of Americans view capitalism positively, while only 38% felt the same about socialism. A 2025 Rasmussen/Heartland poll reported an even bigger disparity, with an impressive 71% saying they prefer free-market economics over socialism which garnered a meager 12% support. The clear implication of these surveys is that Americans overwhelmingly support capitalism over a system of government in which the state exerts greater control over key industries and the distribution of wealth. There is, however, reason to believe that these surveys do not provide an accurate picture of the way people actually feel. If, for example, we check the results of other surveys, we find that attitudes towards the two systems are more ambivalent than we might think. What pollsters in America have found is that—regardless of what party is in power—the vast majority of the people don’t feel represented and don’t think the issues ‘that they care about’ are addressed. In 2025, for example, a majority of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction: Link to full article. https://www.unz.com/mwhitney/heres-why-china-is-beating-the-pants-off-the-us/
