A correction to your correction, it isn't an illusion as long as you can trade your money for resources. "...and how is the government going to make sure they will do their job? No background check, just anyone can walk in and become a cop?" Yeah that's how they do it currently.

That is true for some small town police, and sometimes true for bigger cities, but just before the implosion, it will become even truer.
