Lol I can see that, I mean your reason for doing it is more dietary restrictions but otherwise asains are already aware of the ways their food is vastly different and represented in countries where the food culture is, let's say, American, and things like McDonald's is considered appealing here, they completely know that the American equivalent is gonna be more .... A Americanized. There was a documentary I remember seeing called like "finding general tso" which was all about how the very concept of a general tso was likely fabricated, or not named after any relevant Chinese general or anything, and also how the general tso chicken is like laughable in its entirety when presented to Chinese people, some were disgusted by how it looked while others were confused what they were even looking at, the dish- general tsos is more foriegn to the Chinese then it is to us, like the idea that Chinese food in general is any representation of actual Chinese food is just completely not true, it is like a fast food version, with heavy American influence to appeal to the American culture that at the time were very xenophobic of Chinese immigrants, and Chinese food was a way for the Chinese iimmigrants to basically share a part of 'their culture' which was obviously foreign or unfamiliar to americans at the time but it allowed them to be accepted into American homes and American neighborhoods while also appealing to American appetites
