For becoming immortal yourself what is your ethical dilemma? I understand the hesitancy regarding immortality for others or everyone else, the whole pandoras box that would lead to. But you know yourself, I know myself I would be morally ethically fine becoming immortal, it's my life and I can do with it as I please, if I have the chance to make it longer I will take it, it does not harm any one else to do so, and I have no intention of harming others unless they intend to harm me.

My dillemma with that would be, why would I deserve to be immortal over anyone else. If I can't also give it to others it seems kind of selfish.

What's to say you can't? But for augments sake if you can't, it's not selfish, it is not your fault you found it, or granted it to yourself, selfishness while a negative trait is good when it concerns the preservation of your life, you owe me or anyone else nothing and aren't a bad person as far as I know(you aren't a pedo/rapist/killer for no reason) you would not be selfish in a bad way for being the only person who can live forever.
