You don't get it. Adversity and pain are circumstantial. They just happen. Suffering is a choice. My life isn't better than most peoples. It's a fantasy they'd have never believed could be lived. And it was just a choice. At far younger than you I couldn't believe I'd even still be alive now. That I could still do anything useful. That I'd even be able to walk. I used to endure pain so extreme, every day, that I can scarcely even imagine it now. When I got married my hip was so bad I could barely even stand through the ceremony. I almost didn't. But, I made the choice to literally be a better man. A better version of myself. And that choice is very very real. If I still had clothes from 40 years ago I'd still fit in them. I've never spent a day in hospital. Not even with a broken leg. Not even when I was pretty much sure I wasn't going to live to see tomorrow. You make choices. You just don't understand how many you're making.

Side note. I still fit in my XL Calvary Baptist basketball shirt from when I was 14... I am getting into my XXL stage though, I'm working on flutter kicks, sit ups and free weights. I'm glad you have had that experience in your life. Life would be boring if we didn't do things differently. I don't think I suffer, I'm way too dumb for that.

Dinging yourself isn't worth the effort of doing it. Dude. Two days ago I was helping an 80+ year old go to the bathroom because they were too dumb to realize they really, really need help and they actually crashed, hurting themselves badly because 10 years ago they decided to stop actually doing things and just sitting around so now they can't even function on the most basic level. Oh, they're so sorry. Can't stop saying so. I don't want them to be 'sorry'. I want them to be capable. Their spouse was the only reason they were staying active, and when they died, they just gave up, basically. I don't know if someone can reverse that sort of decision after they've reached 80 or so. I know it's possible for people before they reach 50. I've seen it. I've done it. You. Young man. You can change the way your body works. You can improve your strengths and diminish your weaknesses. And I've seen a TON of people do it!
