Apparently you don't.

Murdered for stealing? You can provide examples? Didn't think so.

We're in one of those areas where specific words have specific meanings while other words have almost no meaning at all.

"Lots" of people were "murdered" or shot for stealing.

Well, I'm damn sure there were more people stealing than being even slightly harmed for stealing let alone "murdered" or even just shot, so, you kind of need to qualify what the word "lots" means in this sentence.

Because in any ordinary construction we'd presume that "lots" is a pretty hefty percentage of those who steal which in simple mathematical terms would have to radically decrease the number of people stealing even if getting "murdered" or shot presented no degree of aversion, or what you've termed a "fear based" society.

You've also presented the word "murdered" as if a guy getting killed while trying to steal from people was in some way a bad thing.

Thieves should die while stealing in as brutal and inhumane a fashion as is reasonably feasible.

A guy getting shot, knifed, beheaded, sledged mercilessly is no more "murdered" than a guy who gets drunk and drives his car off a cliff. He's dead. The way he's supposed to be.

I don't bend over to pick up trash from the sidewalk because I'm worried someone will harm me if I don't. But apparently, you dispose of your trash on the sidewalk because there are no consequences for it.

So, what consequences would make you willing to carry your trash for ten feet and put it in a trash can? A dirty look? Getting yelled at? A fine? A beating? What would it take?

I don't steal from people because I don't want to. I don't want to live in a world where taking things because someone else maybe has more than you do is normal.

But, that's the world you seem to want to live in.

It's only a "fear based society" to people who want to victimize other people. For me, it's just the same except I don't have to concern myself with what some nutto who you think should be protected from my retaliation wants to do.

I don't want a world where I have to worry about my kids and grandkids being under constant threat from meth addicts, but you've flat out stated that you think that's fine.

Which puts you right up there with Rob Reiner who's meth addict son murdered him and his wife.
