Another point of note - I am sitting in Istanbul as I write this, how does Gog-Magog factor into your thinking? Thoughts on "the rapture" etc? I find all of this fascinating really. I was terrified of it all as a kid and a true believer. I know see it all to be the machinations of men and governments. Am I wrong? Maybe. I lived a full and real life of helping others moreso than many religious folks, I am good with whatever outcome. I believe we need to believe in something greater than ourselves. I adore the teachings of christianity - I abhor many Jewish texts. I think it is all BS put together by awful people who think they are "the chosen" and no I am not just talking about jews. It is a class and type of people, many whom are jews.

It's tempting to see it all as the machinations of mankind - and of course there are tons of machinations going on. But on the other hand it's pretty much indisputable that the development of technology proceeded according to opportunity and necessity. Those who did not seize the opportunity (or didn't have it to begin with) perished or were enslaved. So really this looks like a runaway train that no human truly has control over - and that includes everything culminating in an unprecedented global war. So yes, human activity but probably not human directed. Humanity got overtaken by its own devices - just as scripture warned.

I don't think we should be in a rush to get there. The slower it happens the more survivable it will be. We need time to adapt.
