Buy in cash full amount no loan no interest no monthly payment, choose a fuel efficient model you like, test drive multiple times from a car lot, and make sure it’s 2-4 years old, and check the reports in the specific one you’re considering buying, carfax. as for how to get there sooner, stop eating out, live on cheap discounted microwave meals, save more money faster? The only way to make money is to not spend it. Good luck you chattel goy 😎

2015 Chevy Malibu 100 thousand miles, hes asking about 1500 less then what they seem to go for from this year and with this mileage, hes in his 80s and wants to sell it before it starts snowing cos hes already got a couple cars in his drivrway and he will be having to move it everytime he snow blows and since it aint registered or have plates he cant put it on the road. I know him through a friend so im confident hes not selling me a headache, but do you think it will end up being a headache eventually with 100 thousand miles on it already? I feel like the reputation of malibus have not been good

Yeah, I would imagine you’re gunna have to feed it some parts before too long. What price is he selling it for? And ask him if you can take it to a mechanic shop you trust for an evaluate and get that done, let them know you’re thinking of buying it and want a full report on everything and they will spot anything wearing out and what you could expect to be a problem soon.

What are you looking for and where do you live? I'm a fan of older car models, some of them are great cars that will last till 300k or more. Toyota makes a great product, Honda and Lexus. Even 90's Mercedes are great cars. The Chevrolet 2000-2003 models are great with the LS motors in them. Uber will suck your pockets dry, find a side gig you can make cash with and start saving that money to build up to becoming independent. Humans around you need services, fulfill those services. Provide good services or work in exchange for monies... Yard work, handyman work, or anything that you are good at. I am kinda a car "guy" if you have questions.

With only 100k miles it seems like a good buy. If you know the person ask them to take it for a day. Other than that, take it to a shop that you trust if you know one around you to have them check it out and get it up on a lift. But 100k miles is low. If nothing else, it will run to 150-200 with maintenance. But yes, those cars do have some issues.

Yea I have heard that it could either be a decent buy and last me, or it can last like 10 thousand miles and shit the bed, which is a bit of a gamble im not willing to take. Also he doesn't have plates on it so taking it for the day would require temporary paper plates. So I havent been able to test drive it either because he lives basicslly downtown and you cant take the car out his driveway without being immediately on a main road and in the part of town most the police patrol, so besides like listening to the engine and revving the engine idling, I havent gotten a true feel for how the car rides

Do you know this person? And why did he stop driving the car? Most people don't have a "good" car sitting around in their yard for no reason.

I know you are recommending early 2000 Chevys, but what would you say about a 2015 Chevy Malibu 100 thousand miles, the price seems to be decent, compared to other2015 Malibus with similar mileage, hes asking 4500. Would you recommend i dont bother with it though 2015 Malibus seems like there was a transmission issue with this particular year, thats the consensus at least of that spotty Kilmer guy on youtube, and obviously a transmission problem would be something I dont want to inherit.

https://www.aandjusedcars.com/ Look up this guy and if you aren't getting cars around these prices, than you are paying to much. Yeah stay away from anything with Trans issues.

Agree, sometimes though saving isnt that easy if you are basically living paycheck to paycheck paying rent, bills, food, shit like that

My twenties was basically impossible to save no matter how much I wanted to, but I've gotten a better job since and have been blessed to be able to actually see my savings account grow
