Example, during the terror attack in Brussels few years back. There were just a few of the terrorists, you know the "radicalised", who "didn't understand" the "true" teachings of the religion of peace.  
Let's say ok. Fair enough.  
Then you have the tens of thousands of peaceful mooslims, lovely warm  ppl.  
Police managed to catch the terrorists except of one. And the one successfully was hiding in the muzzy neighbourhood for months.  
At that point I lost the track, I can't remember, don't know whether he finally got caught or not. I think not. I think he escaped.   
Nevertheless, we have the case, of let's say "three bad radicalised persons, lone wolves" and the vast majority of tens of thousands of "good moosliims".  
The good ppl were hiding a murder. The whole neighbourhood knew about it. This guy was moving from one house to another constantly. Police kept searching for him.  
  
And that's the problem with "the other".  
I belive this is the basis we've got the right to judge a group as a whole, despite individual cases.   
If you look at history, it's rather clear which groups caused problems, what kind of problem, and which group pretty much none. Just lived as good citizens, good neighbors through thick and thin.   
Truth is you never know until sth happens. But then you know. Act accordingly.   
In a fair world after sth like that, ALL the muzzies from Brussels should have been deported. A complete ban on any islammic immigration. Because they've already proven beyond any doubt what they're made of, where their loyalties lie.
