In the Quran, it's the Pharoah who ordered the killing of the children. Quran doesnt celebrate passover or the killing of innocents. But yes, it does tell the story of Moses. In fact Moses is mentioned in the Quran more than Muhammad. And no, it's not harsh on trestment of non-muslims. In fact muslims are responsible for protecting life and freedom of religion of non-muslims living in their lands, especially Christians and Jews. The "Ashtiname of Muhammad" was a treaty between Muhammad and the Christian monks who lived under his rule. You can see for yourself how harsh it is. Posted the Pic below for your convenience. Quran is pretty clear, "there is to be no compulsion in religion" (2:156). If someone wants to become Muslim it's for their own benefit. Muslims are not supposed to try to convert anyone either, just give them a reminder or information if it benefits them. In fact even Muhammad is told repeatedly "your duty is only notification", "you are not a manager over them". (39:41, 6:107) I'm keeping my answer short because I don't want to be giving sermons unless less you want them 🤣 Happy to give more details about this or any other topic.
