Parent Post: Flock wants to eradicate crime. The only way to fully do that is pre-crime.

I agree - but you are talking about 20 years to make a difference. We are past that - something more drastic has to happen first, then, those things you say have a chance.

For sure, but it took many years to fuck everything up this bad, it's not something we can just reverse in a short period of time. If you look at crime statistics, the vast majority of crime is committed by repeat offenders, and weak liberal judges keep releasing them as fast as they get arrested, creating an endless cycle of crime, violence and wasted tax payer money. We have this major disconnect right now. Crime is a problem and people want less crime. That's something pretty much everyone can agree on. But we are investing more and more into policing, then just releasing them back on the streets, which makes no sense. The best police tech and force in the world won't make much of a difference if the DAs don't follow through and put the criminals in prison. Increasing policing and arrests won't reduce crime, it will just increase court backlogs and waste more money. I think that's one of the first things we need to focus on. We are already arresting far more people than we are prosecuting, so it doesn't make sense to keep investing more into policing until we resolve the judicial issues.

I 100 percent agree with your take that a major part of the problem is criminals being released to do crime over and over again. Good points.

I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for the actual decent police officers who truly want to make a difference. Imagine put your life in danger to take a violent criminal off the streets... only to see him attacking someone else the next day? 🤦♂️
