I couldn't say. It can take time to become clearer; the motivations behind these individuals. I've been in the game for a long time and seen many go from the next big hope to traitors in a flash. Don't feel bad if your trust is misplaced, just let it serve as time that you had your say and did what you thought was right. Also you've got to account for what he is interested in too.
