I don't disagree with this perspective at all. However, as someone who believes strongly in the Constitution, while I think undocumented immigrants should be removed promptly—an idea I fully support. At the same time, I also believe that legal residents and citizens have a right to remain here. If they commit crimes, they should face the full consequences under the law, but I’m not comfortable with deporting them solely because they contribute to our society by working and paying taxes. Many deportations can also lead to dire outcomes, including but not limited to death and torture, even when the offenses are not directly comparable. I also worry that this approach sets a dangerous precedent—a slippery slope reminiscent of the internment of Japanese and German citizens during World War II with the Alien Enemies Act of 1789, when people were detained solely based on their heritage and unfounded suspicions. A law that Trump put back into effect on his first day in office. This kind of policy could eventually be used against native-born citizens simply for holding dissenting political views, thereby suppressing free speech. Some of the recent executive orders seem to be moving in that direction as well, though not many are discussing it. That's just my personal take on the matter. I appreciate the conversation and would love to continue discussing these issues if you have any thoughts.

Youre spot on with the internment camp sentiment. When i said immigrant i was more referring to visa holders that are under going the immigration process and have not been made a naturalized citizen yet.^poor choice of wording by me^ Like if someone is here on a visa or asylum, commits a violent crime. I dont have sympathy for that.
