I tend not to use either form of the word except when it's funny. It's quite a good word for comedic timing. I don't find the word to have constructive use for the recipient in serious use, because there is no real consensus on what it means. Unlike "faggot" and "retard," which is obviously a critique on behavior or intelligence. I did use "nigger" in this post, though, so wish no further! I do believe "nigga" is just an attempt to be cool by trying to use slang. If you're referring to when I used "nigga" previously, I was just quoting the comic that also used "nigga."
