Should we let the families of the victims do the execution? We have the state so the state can put the person on trial and then make justice happen by carrying out a sentence. This is much better than the "street justice" of the blacks or the never ending feuds of those mountain people. We need a strong government. We as humans will always be able to label this violence as something such as "state power through violence". Pick one. You got religious. Private. Or State. Or random violence done in retaliation. Justice should be swift.
