You aren't wrong. Corbett Report just did an episode on this subject. It's a true statement. But it's also true that the foundation of information that any well meaning source is relying on is often corrupted and was likely meant to be misleading. Where we stand currently in my opinion is that parts of things are often true. But then other parts of the same issue/informtion are not accurate, or even just manipulated in context. For example, i've heard a lot about the brownsville border area. There could be a few specific areas that do/did have a real problem with illegal crossings. But then the state controlled media could blow it totally out of proportion using those specific areas and specific times as their examples. They could flood cetrain areas and then tell those involved this is happening everywhere, then have important media figures interview them. Intel is powerful and has unlimited funding, they control the leadership of almost every significant organization, so they can accomplish just about any goal put in front of them. Same as anything, nobody is going to be convinced by totally made up nonsense. But if it runs parallel to the truth and deviates only as needed it may look like the truth and fit in with other truths/narratives. Personally I'm just careful to stay open minded and never think I know anything as real truth. You have to keep your thoughts and opinions flexible, and I think avoiding belief entirely is the best way to go in this environment. Its a fact that winners and the powerful write the histories and the "news", they control most information. That no thinking person can deny.
