I like it, it makes sense. My argument was more for additions after the fact with the original text still clearly visible in order to drive down server costs; but I agree with the sentiment that there is no erasing the past. This is the net, and Barbara Streisand found out the hard way. Sometimes subtracting a feature is an addition.

There are quite a few posts on the edit feature around as you browse around the site. The debate is live: https://soj.ooo/p/pre-launch/post/1efc4ab1fe4a02ac5f94642b5266b826 I also will provide my opinion where I showed up here a week and half ago and called @matt gay and said dangun your website sucks. But I have changed my opinion on the vision and see the effects of no edits and deletes can have on users as extremely positive.
