Genuinely absurd. The result of strict protocols combined with woketivism. Obviously, the law needs changed to include the proviso that if the execution method fails the executioners must fall back on "more efficacious" means, up to and including reenacting her crime on herself. Meaning: Anything up to smashing her head in. Could just be two gunshots to the head. Cutting her heart out. Cutting her throat. Chainsaw dismemberment. Tossing her in a woodchipper feet first. Tossing her in a cell until heat sensors register she's lifeless. Lots of options.

I agree, the punishment should be equivalent to the crime, and as severe. If they decided some innocent person deserved to die a painful death, then they too should die a painful, non humane death as punishment, this would be hard though cos then the executioner would technically be a totally broken and psychopathic person as a result, so how to inflict this type of death without creating other depraved murderers is difficult to understand

You're concerned we might run out of depraved murderers? I'll take that chance. I kind of think there'd be several, more than willing to do the job, right there in the prison. End of the day: I just want her gone. A long time ago. I'd cap her myself without so much as the blink of an eye or a lost second of sleep. I have grandchildren.

good point i hadnt thought of having the prisoners alredy serving life taking on the task similar to how they work in the kitchen
