Well biblically speaking it was to rid the world of the Nephilim and all the corrupted beasts that were on the earth at that point.i believe the devil must have equal power or dominion over earth if God is incapable of stopping the devil, it really seems like the devil has equal if not more power over the earth since the devil would seem to be someone God would want to deal with if he doesn't want him meddling in his worldly experiment

Yeah. So "god" took out its anger on the dumb little humans and creatures but not the thing actually doing the "evil". Also, god put the nephilium here on Earth along with the devil. Then creates human mammals and blames them because Angels came down and humped women. Humans get blamed for the game the "spirits" play on this planet.
