My boomer father had a rare eye disorder which resulted in a risky, expeirimental whole eye transplant surgery where he was given the eyes of a deceased 24 year old after a drunk driving accident. He has not only reported a sharpness and clarity he hadnt seen in decades, he has also reported a future that appears bleak and hopeless, no longer believing hard work and saving 20 dollars a week from your check will ever gaurentee homeownership for me, and he finally sees how despite minimum wage as high as it is, it doesnt compute with the cost of living, the cost of food, car prices, inflation, taxes, an obsolete middle class. He also understands that finding a good wife to start a family with is much harder then he originally thought, and can understand that its not a lack of suiters, but a lack of suiters with the right mentality. Plus, on a lighter note, he no longer posts AI deepfake videos on his facebook because he has become better at spotting fakes. (This has been a work of fiction, dont bother arguing the possibility of eye transplants with me, because its fiction)

I admire you willingness to see things from another perspective. Coming from a larger than normal family and being the youngest, over half of my siblings are Boomers. Two GenX in the fam, I'm one of them. My brother loves Trump and you cannot tell him any different. But he's a good dude.

My sister a GenXer also is a Trump fan, she has raised two great kids and has her stuff together. Boomervision came to me in a throw of madness.
